Introduction to Chutes

The function of a transfer point varies depending on its operational requirements. In all cases, the basic functional requirement is to direct the material stream from its source to its destination.

One of the goals of a transfer chute system is to contain material flow. If this is not done well, not all the material will make it to the receiving conveyor belt, resulting in lost productivity.

Material must flow through the system. If it does not, plugging/blocking will occur and bring the operation to a halt.
