Eliminator® H-Type® Precleaner
Tip: The location of the mounting brackets can be modified to fit the special circumstances of the conveyor structure.
Problem: You have laid out the X and Y coordinates to locate where the center of your pole needs to be positioned under the head pulley. Next you measure down, per the Installation Instructions, 2-1/4" for the location of your mounting bracket. This is where the problem appears; there is an obstruction in the way, there is nothing to mount the bracket on, or perhaps the cleaner will be hanging down too low over the next beltline. Now what do you do?
Solution: Adjust the location of your mounting brackets. The mounting brackets are not limited to the horizontal position shown in the Installation Instructions. The only requirement is that the pole center remain at the determined X & Y (or C) coordinates. This means that in addition to the horizontal position (Fig. 1), the brackets can be located above (Fig. 2), to the right (Fig.3) or to the left (Fig.4) of the pole. In fact, it is very common in applications where one conveyor dumps onto another that the mounting brackets are positioned above the pole to allow more clearance. To find the mounting location, simply measure the 2-1/4" up or to either side of the predetermined X/Y mark.
Handy Hint: If you are going to mount the brackets vertically to the right or left of the pole it makes it easier if the brackets are bolted to horizontal slots cut in the structure. With a vertical mount you are unable to use the slotted holes in the mounting brackets that are used to square the pole to the head pulley. Cutting slotted holes in the structure allows for pole alignment again.
