Alligator® Rivet System


Specially designed for the abusive round hay baling application, Alligator® Rivet Fasteners are an affordable way to simplify belt maintenance and increase uptime.

Features and Benefits:

  • Robust and abrasion resistant splice
  • Can be installed quickly and easily in the field without removing the belt from the baler
  • Pilot nail rivet assembly penetrates without damaging carcass fibers and the installation tool produces the proper rivet curl
  • All stainless steel design

Options:
Can be installed using:

  • Alligator Rivet Tool (ART) – Small, portable tool base allows farmers to bring the tool directly to the baler to install splices
  • Multiple Alligator Rivet Tool (MART) – The tool's guide block allows multiple rivets to be inserted and then can be either applied with a hammer and hand punch or with an air hammer and pneumatic punch

Applications:

  • Round hay baler belts
  • For belts 1/8" – 7/32" (3.2 – 5.6 mm) thick with mechanical fastener ratings up to 300 P.I.W. (52 kN/m) and minimum pulley diameters of 3 1/2" (88 mm)
