Flexco Introduces the Enclosed Skirting 2.0

Flexco recently announced the launch of the Enclosed Skirting 2.0, its next-generation skirting system designed to seal load zones, contain dust and spillage, and enable safe, efficient maintenance from outside the chute. The Enclosed Skirting 2.0 combines specialized components that install fast, seal tight, and extend component life to deliver a completely enclosed system.  

“Load zones that leak dust and spillage create a cascade of problems for plant managers, ranging from messy cleanups and accelerated belt wear to compliance risks and crews forced into hard-to-access areas inside the chute for routine service,” said Kevin Fales, Flexco Heavy-Duty Business Unit Director. “The Enclosed Skirting 2.0 was engineered to address every one of those challenges. Since its initial development launch, we've continued to listen to our customers and refine the design to better align with real-world application needs. The result is a complete load zone solution that consistently maintains a tight seal, limits unnecessary labor, protects the belt, and keeps production moving.” 

The Enclosed Skirting 2.0 allows installation crews to mount the system anywhere along the stringer without major structural modifications, altogether avoiding the complications that arise with traditional skirting systems that may require extensive alterations during installation. The system’s modular design accommodates a variety of sizes and can be configured for nearly any application. Flexco’s Dual Seal Polyurethane Skirting can also be used in conjunction for select applications, providing additional sealing flexibility.

Every detail of the Enclosed Skirting 2.0 was designed with input from the people who use it. Customer feedback drove meaningful updates across the system, making maintenance access simpler and faster, improving dust control to help facilities maintain compliance, and reducing the need for full production shutdowns.
